When we go to bed at night, are the contents of our refrigerators, utility shelves and medicine cabinets throwing wild parties, obtaining amorous, acting out plays and engaging in cannibalism?  Perhaps not, but it is entertaining to imagine them having up to all types of mischief behind closed doors, and that’s exactly what a photo series named “Bent Objects” by Terry Border illustrates.

“Bent Objects” started with the artist making small wire sculptures to sell. Border took photographs of his creations and posted them on his weblog, ultimately discovering that individuals had been extra interested in photographs of the sculptures acting out comical scenarios. Over 70 of Border’s funniest pictures are featured in his new book, “Bent Objects: The Secret Life of Everyday Things”.

Many of the scenarios that the animated objects locate themselves in would be disturbing chason tv stand if the subjects had been men and women – as in “Cereal Killer”, in which the remains of Orren Ellis a cornflake drowned in milk are mourned more than by two relatives. But there’s just no denying the humor in anthropomorphized meals with wire limbs.

In an interview with Neatorama, Border explains how he gets some of his ideas. “I’ll tell you a secret – a lot of instances I’m not trying to be funny at all. I’m just generating the saddest circumstance I can assume of while applying a particular object. Sometimes, while I’m photographing a scene, I’m like ‘Oh man. I’ve gone too far right here. People today are gonna see how sick I am, and make me get psychological assist.’”

“Know what even though? Those are generally my most well-liked pictures. Folks see them as funny. There are a lot of sick individuals out there, just like me. Hello out there, all of you sickos!”
